October 2nd’s Libra solar eclipse could spark a shift toward harmony that’s lifetimes in the making…
Becoming aware of the stars is the best thing I’ve ever done. Here’s why.
As humans, we seek safety, but the way we define safety varies wildly. For one person, it’s a warm bed with a soft pillow. For another, it’s a dark room with no windows. Our sense of safety—or lack of it—often shapes how we react to life.
When we respond negatively to something, it’s often the result of a culmination of past traumas, present fears, and future anxieties. This year, I’ve heard so many people ask themselves if they’re self-sabotaging.
The first step toward understanding this is awareness. You have to bring yourself into that awareness, to feel the energy, and recognize its source. Maybe you think you don’t need to, that there’s no reason. But if you’re struggling with something deeper, that’s all the more reason to explore it.
This is where astrology comes in. Becoming consciously aware of the cosmic energy can help us navigate what’s going on around us. To better understand the parts of our own psyche we’re being presented with in waking life.
The solar eclipse in Libra marks a chance to reset our relationships—if we’re willing to acknowledge the depths that have brought us to where we are now.
A solar eclipse is a more powerful version of a New Moon. This lunar cycle marks the end of eclipse season and can serve as a reboot of our energy to sustain us the next 6 months.
A New Moon in Libra invites us to renew our relational dynamics, to find balance, and to release patterns that no longer serve us. It’s an opportunity for growth, but only if we’re willing to take that first step. Other people’s energy and intention can influence and attach to us, so much so that it can seem like the energy is our own.
With the South Node in Libra alongside the eclipse, things from the past might resurface, triggering us in unexpected ways. These moments aren’t here to punish us—they’re here to guide us toward the other path, the one we may have avoided before.
In resonance with the South Node moving alongside my Sun and Mercury, I want to talk a little bit about something I’m releasing with this lunar cycle. In November 2021, I lost my father. It was a long time coming; as a child, I would check his breathing as he slept, sensing this moment long before it arrived. When it happened, it forced me to really confront the raw reality of mortality.
His passing made me question everything. The situation was so far beyond my control that all I could do was be physically present—hospital bed, nurses, tubes, the constant beeping. I’m still traumatized from that time perhaps because it was somehow all encapsulated in one night. I hadn’t always been there, I had chosen not to be; unlike him who had chosen to stay.
Already on the precipice of my spiritual journey, this loss pushed me deeper into divination. Tarot became a tool that helped me navigate my emotions and understand the energetic balance in everyday life.
Common misconception: tarot predicts the future.
The truth: tarot connects us with the subconscious energy around us.
This energy is connected to everything and is a reflection of who we are. Tarot doesn’t show us a set future—it gives us a window into our own minds, helping us recognize patterns, challenge beliefs, and see beyond what’s visible.
Understanding this "taboo" energy brought me clarity, not through faith in religion or another person, but through self-reflection. The cards showed me parts of myself I had never seen before, empowering me to make sense of the world around me.
Personally, I think some people need to cut the crap. Tarot, spirituality—these things help. They’re tools to better understand ourselves and the world. They tell us a lot about the things that are currently impacting us and like anything, it requires a bit of faith on behalf of the client.
We live in a place where monotony is the norm, but that doesn’t mean we can’t introduce a healthy level of chaos to transform the structures that hold us back. That chaos requires the same faith as believing in divination.
I was part of several conversations this weekend about the history of our society. It inspired me to think more deeply about the way we are individually impacting those around us.
Social media reposts have replaced marches, meetups, and mass gatherings. Connection somehow created and severed by device. We watch those around us suffer and we think who’s throwing fists first—left or right? Red or blue?
Does it even matter anymore?

“He hadn’t wanted me to know he was hurting, I suppose. He hadn’t wanted to scare me any more than I’d been scared, I suppose. I say I suppose because we never spoke about it. We never spoke about it because watching him lie there, just before my mother closed the door, showing her his pain but not me, my gratitude for his rescuing me turned to anger. We never spoke about it because though I didn’t know why I was so upset, I had some intuition of a sense of betrayal, of unworthiness, as though he didn’t think me strong enough to witness what he must have seen as his weakness.” - Devil Is Fine by John Vercher
Bringing this little segment back to celebrate this read I’ve been in lately. Hopefully through this quote, you understand even more why its necessary to consume. The way Vercher approaches grief is so real and raw. The writing encapsulates such a poetic, picturesque landscape and relatable character backstory. I’m stoked and already bittersweet about getting to the ending.
